‘Creating a connection with nature was one of the driving forces behind the vision for this Victorian house: I wanted it to feel like a respite in the city’ – Emma Sims-Hilditch

“While the manor had been well-kept and lovingly restored by its previous owners, the clients wanted to bring a fresh vibrance to the interiors that felt liveable for a busy family of five while honouring the property’s history and gorgeous surroundings.”

Veranda

This kitchen was inspired by the impressive Victorian kitchen at Lanhydrock Country House in Cornwall, in particular the decoration table in the centre with its wood and marble top that serves as the focal point of the space. We wanted to recreate the simple beauty of this functional working kitchen as the natural hub for our client and their family.
