Coming Soon: Grade I Richmond Townhouse

Sims Hilditch has been appointed to complete the Interior Architecture and Interior Design of a Grade I listed townhouse in Richmond, London

Located within a Grade I-listed early Georgian terrace in Richmond, southwest London, we were asked to create a cosy and comfortable family home that exudes warmth and charm in its design, whilst paying homage to its historical significance and architecture.

Constructed circa 1719 within the grounds of the prestigious Richmond Palace, formerly inhabited by Elizabeth I, holds a rarity in its Grade I listing, demanding meticulous attention and care in handling.

Guided by our client's brief, our aim was to design a relaxed familial sanctuary, emphasizing a harmonious blend between communal spaces for cherished family moments and more formal spaces suitable for entertaining guests. Our design ethos revolves around intertwining our client's vision and lifestyle seamlessly with the essence of this period property, enriching and preserving its distinctive character.

Our design for this home enhances the property's abundant natural light, resulting in a functional yet vibrant dwelling that combines playfulness with practicality, all while honouring the location's storied past and historical significance.

The completed project will be unveiled in Spring 2025.
